He will rejoice (to be bright, cheerful, be glad, make mirth) over you with great gladness (glee, celebration, exceeding joyfulness, mirth, pleasure, rejoicing). With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will exult (to spin around, under the influence of a violent emotion, rejoice) over you by singing (a creaking or a shrill sound, ie: shout of joy, cry, gladness, proclamation, triumph) a happy song.”
Come before him, singing with joy.
  • Come - same as v. 4 - "Enter"
  • Before Him - "the face of God;" His presence
  • Singing with joy - shout for joy, celebrate with great joy, triumphing

  • John 1:3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
  • Isaiah 45:9 “What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’"
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
  • Luke 15:4-7; John 10:1-18

Give thanks to him and praise his name.
  • Give thanks - to use the hand, as to throw; to revere and worship; celebration
